Spring Unsprung

It seemed like winter would never end!  And even though I knew that all that cold rain that made our days dark and dreary would eventually pay off, I got impatient.  It kind of happens every year.

And every year, I am never disappointed with the show that Mother Nature puts on in our little chunk of East Texas.  And after the redbuds come the blue bonnets and dogwoods.  Not long after, the meadow explodes with “wooly whites” and my favorite emerald beetles come to call.  Next, the wild roses light up the fencelines all along The Dirt Road.  Then comes berry season.

I must remind myself next winter .. to chill.

Spring will get here when it’s ready and it will be worth the wait.
